President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi spat a venom and has sparked a controversy again. Owaisi in a public rally at Maharashtra said “I won’t say Bharat Mata ki Jai even if you will put a knife to my throat”. This derogatory remark by Asaduddin Owaisi came as a reaction to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat statement when he said Indian Youth needs to be taught to chant slogans in support of our country.
In his speech he also said that there is nowhere written in the Indian Constitution to chant “Bharat Mata ki Jai” so he would not say it. He also added that he will continue to support Ishrat Jahan’s family until they get the justice.
The said statement is definitely a political stunt by Owaisi to encourage rifts between Hindus and Muslims and to get media attention but is being hugely condemned by the countrymen.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena told Owaisi to “Go to Pakistan” if he can’t chant slogans hailing mother land.
