Our planet is a beautiful place to live in. The castles, the mountains, the waterfalls, the exceptionally alluring gardens that you see or read about in fairytales are not borne from fiction but from the real world. Yes! Those picturesque places actually exist and today, we are going to take you for a round. So forget about everything else for a while and step into the world where dreams come true and the endings are always happy!

1. Kawachi Fuji Garden, Japan




Just 5 hours from Tokyo, exists the home of almost 150 Wisteria flowering plants of 20 different species. This pastel-colored, much graceful fairy-tale tunnel is no less than the wonderland that Alice had gone to. The best time to visit this place is from late April to sometime in the middle of May depending upon the weather.

2. Saint Basil’s Cathedral, Russia





This place is officially called “The Cathedral of the Intercession of the Virgin by the Moat” which is now a museum. The building seems as if a flame of bonfire is rising into the sky. The cathedral is UNESCO world heritage site.

3. Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany





The place which is the main stop on the ‘Romantic Road’, a trail in Bavaria of ancient towns and castles was also the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Disneyland! There is no other stronghold in the entire Europe that can match up to the beauty of this place. The place, although is not the home of a magical princess but draws a huge number of crowd from all over the world.

6. Mendenhall Ice Caves, Alaska




One look at this and all you want to do is forget about all your responsibilities and go hiking to this beautiful place that existence of which is because of the melting of glaciers. Unusual and strange ancient trees standing upright have been found by researchers in these ice caves which suggests that the glacier is excavating forests that have been frozen for almost 1,000 years or so.

7. Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland





Another fairytale spot that must be visited is the Eilean Donan castle which is a part of the Kintail National Scenic Area, in the middle of the point where three lochs meet, in the western Highlands of Scotland. This castle resembles the robust beauty and sensational landscapes of fantasy dramas like Game Of Thrones!

8. Waitomo Glow-worm Cave, New Zealand




New Zealand is an extraordinarily beautiful island and Waitomo Glow-worm Cave holds ‘one must see place’ in the vacation wish-list when going to New Zealand. Arachnocampa luminosa, the glow worms are unique to New Zealand. Thousands of them radiate their evident luminescent light making the place glow and leaves the visitors mesmerized. The place hosts the world famous boat ride.

9. Nothern Lights, Iceland




The Northern Lights (or Aurora Borealis) are among the most spectacular phenomena on earth – and Iceland is the perfect place to see them. 10. Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park, China




The fantastically-colored mountains and cliffs of China offer a spectacular view and therefore is a must visited destination for all the wanderlusts. These are sandstone formations which are very dramatic and colorful and seems to ripple towards the horizons. Walking through these gives a feeling of walking within a beautiful painting.
