Gautam Gambhir to bear all expenses of kids of CRPF men martyred in Sukma

The recent Sukma attack on the CRPF men cost India 25 brave soldiers in Chhattisgarh, who got martyred fighting an ambush of hundreds of Naxalites. This has been the one of the largest attacks and casualties ever faced due to the exploits of the Naxals. Now, to help the children of those who died in the battle, a cricketing hero has emerged – Gautam Gambhir.

Gautam Gambir said he was heavily grieved by a photo of a daughter saluting her father, while in another a howling daughter was being consoled by her relatives. So, to mark respect for those who sacrificed their lives, he wore a black band in his match against Rising Pune Supergiant.

The Gautam Gambhir Foundation will take care of all the educational expenses of the children of these soldiers. After winning his match, he gave credit to team effort and also added that he loves Indian Army for the same reasons, although the quantum of losing a dear one while serving the country can never be compared with losing a match.
