India Earns Proud Gold And Bronze Medals At Paralympics 2016

Inspite of many requests from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several sportspersons, not many Indians are giving the deserved importance to Paralympic athletes and the games going on in Rio de Janeiro. But despite that, nothing could stop our super talented Paralympic athletes from bagging medals at Rio.

Mariyappan Thangavelu and Varun Kumar Bhati won Gold and Bronze respectively in the men’s T42 High Jump event at the day 2 of on-going Paralympic games. Mariyappan earned the Gold by marking the best jump of 1.89 meters, whereas Varun Bhati registered his personal best score of 1.86 meters earning a bronze for himself and the country.
