Pakistan’s menace continues to plague the peace of India and last week’s attack was no exception. Four Indian Army soldiers were killed in the Keri sector of Jammu & Kashmir’s Rajouri district. In retaliation to this ceasefire attack, the Indian Army gave a fitting reply by crossing the LOC and killing three Pakistani troops and injuring one troop.

The encounter happened when the Indian Army foiled an infiltration of Pakistani soldiers in Nowshera sector of the LoC in Rajouri district on Monday evening. This retaliation by the Indian Army took place in Rakhchakri, in Pakistan’s Rawalkot sector. The death of three Pakistani soldiers was confirmed by Pakistan’s media quoting Inter-Service Public Relations.
On Sunday too, two Pakistani sniper shooters were killed in Indian firing on the LoC in Poonch and Rajouri districts Thus, IANS quoted Defence Ministry sources by stating that over the last two days, five Pakistani soldiers have been killed.
This is a grim reminder of the September 18th, 2016 Uri attacks wherein many civilians died in the Kashmir valley. This prompted the Indian Army to avenge the attack by conducting a Surgical Strike by crossing the border and destroying the terrorist pads.
Pakistan has violated the ceasefire 881 times along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2017, killing 30 people. The truce between India and Pakistan along the IB, LoC and the Actual Ground Position Line in Jammu and Kashmir came into force in November 2003.
Pakistan continues to deploy the same tactics of infiltration and sniper attacks and this has been severely costing the peace talks and causing violence and unrest in the Kashmir valley of India.
